Aviva Investors has appointed Sunil Krishnan as the new head of multi-asset funds, a newly created role.
Krishnan will take up the new responsibility in October 2017 and report to the firm’s global head of multi-assets Peter Fitzgerald.
Krishnan joins Aviva from Santander Asset Management, where he worked as a senior portfolio manager.
His other previous roles include head of global asset allocation at Hermes Investment Management, multi-asset manager at BlackRock, and head of market strategy at BT Pension Scheme.
“I am very pleased to welcome Sunil to Aviva Investors. It is a great sign of the ongoing success of our multi-asset proposition that we are able to attract someone of his calibre to our business,” Fitzgerald said.
The new appointment coincides with the departure of the firm’s senior fund manager Nick Samouilhan.
