By GlobalDataAtlas managing director Brett Evans will run the Dubai office.
In his financial career of more than two decades, Evans has worked at the Australian Stock Exchange, HSBC, Suncorp and Citi Smith Barney.
“The Gulf region has always been a significant jurisdiction for Atlas Wealth Management, with clients located in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Qatar, and we are looking forward to getting boots on the ground to ensure that Australian expats are able to access compliant and customised financial advice that is specifically designed for Australians in the region,” Evans noted.
Meanwhile, James Ridley will now lead Atlas’ Australia office as managing director.
Ridley said: “The new office in Dubai is a testament to our commitment to the Australian diaspora when it comes to providing them world class financial advice.
“With Australian and global regulations increasing at a rapid pace it is imperative that we position Atlas Wealth Management so that Australian expats can receive the specialised advice that they require to navigate the maze of financial requirements that have been thrust upon them.”
Currently, Atlas has an in-principle nod from the Dubai Financial Services Authority and is working to secure a full licence.
