Ashburton Investments, the investment management arm of FirstRand Group, has named Jonathan Schiessl as new CIO within its international investment team.
In his new role, Schiessl will be responsible for the company’ global investment fund range and portfolio management services.
Schiessl, who joined Ashburton in 2000, most recently served as director at Ashburton Investments in Jersey and also as head of equities. He has 19 years of experience in the investment industry in the investment industry.
Additionally, the company has appointed Derry Pickford and Marianna Georgakopoulou as joint heads of firm’s Asset Allocation team, based in London.
Pickford has been working at Ashburton for a number of years leading its macro analysis, while Georgakopoulou joined the firm as multi-asset strategist from Pivot Capital Management (Monaco).
In their new roles, Georgakopoulou will assume day-to-day portfolio responsibility for the asset management funds, while Pickford will manage the global multi-asset funds.
