Fine art investment company ArteQuesta has launched new software for art collectors, called the Art Portfolio Management System.
ArteQuesta’s founder and director Rayah Levy said that the new software will allow its clients to open their portfolio with the firm and track the performance of their art.
He added that the system will also be available to collectors who aren’t ArteQuesta’s direct clients.
According to Levy, there will be a rise in demand for professional wealth management services related to art and art collections.
Levy said: "In 2014, 76% of art purchases were made for the art’s potential as an investment. The 2015 statistics show this percentage will grow. Increasingly, art professionals (76%) and art collectors (62%) believe art and collectibles should be integrated into wealth management offerings, which are opening new areas in an untapped market.
"The Portfolio Management System was designed with provenance and verification in mind specifically because ArteQuesta’s most personal mission is to preserve Jewish and Israeli Art.
