Artemis senior partner Mark Murray said: “Risk and compliance are very rightly an increasingly important part of fund management. I am delighted that we have been able to attract someone of Ross’ experience and knowledge to lead these areas for us.

“We look forward to Ross’ input as we continue to concentrate on our clients’ needs and expectations over the years ahead.”

Millar currently heads the investment management risk advisory practice for EMEA at Deloitte and is also a member of the firm’s investment management executive team.

At Deloitte, he has offered advice to various asset management firms and carried out senior secondments across risk and compliance functions.

“I have had a fantastic time at Deloitte over the last 12 years, working with outstanding colleagues and clients, and learning a great deal along the way. The opportunity to go back into industry and contribute to the ongoing success of Artemis was too good to miss; and I am very excited about my new role as chief risk officer,” Millar noted.
