Artemis Investment Management has named Jasper Berens as its new head of distribution, replacing Dick Turpin who will retire at the end of this year.

Berens will assume the new responsibility in October 2018. He most recently served as the country head of the UK at JP Morgan Asset Management.

Berens worked for two decades at JP Morgan and left the company in March this year.

Turpin has managed sales and distribution at Artemis since 2002. His financial career of over 25 years also includes stints at Merrill Lynch, Aetna and Barings.

Turpin also served as the managing director of ABN Amro Fund Managers that became a part of Artemis in 2002.

Artemis senior partner Mark Murray said: “Dick Turpin’s contributions both to Artemis and to our industry have been enormous. Dick has been integral to helping build Artemis into the firm it is today. We wish him a very long and happy retirement, after almost 30 years in fund management. We are delighted to have been able to recruit someone of Jasper’s standing and ability.”
