She will report to Cedric Bucher, head of business development at Architas.

Ackland has joined Architas from F&C Investments having been at Thames River Capital when it was taken over by F&C in 2010.

Commenting on the appointment, Bucher, said: "Ackland’s experience in the investment market, and in particular her close involvement in the multi-manger sector, will be key to our drive to make the Architas range of risk-rated investment funds the first choice for advisers and their clients.

"With the growing popularity of risk profiled funds and solutions among advisers, we are continually reviewing our range to ensure we are meeting the changing needs of clients. Ackland will help us to develop our range where there is demand for new products."
