ANZ Bank has appointed Grant Knuckey as the new CEO for its US business, replacing Truett Tate who will retire.
Knuckey, who has been working at ANZ for over two decades, will take up the new responsibility in early April 2018.
He currently serves as the CEO of ANZ’s Japan business, and the bank has already initiated the process for a replacement.
He previously headed the bank’s Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar operations, and served as deputy CEO and head of institutional in China.
In the new role, which is pending regulatory nod, Knuckey will be based in New York and will report to the bank’s group executive international Farhan Faruqui.
“I’m confident Grant’s extensive experience at ANZ and in Asia will be highly valuable in further connecting our international network and our home markets,” Faruqui noted.
