US-based Antarctica Asset Management has partnered with Silverhorn Group to launch a joint venture entity, Antarctica Asset Management Asia, in Hong Kong.
An extension of Antarctica’s Asian business, the joint venture firm is aimed at providing hedge fund managers with fund research and advisory services.

Antarctica Asset Management Asia will be led by Antarctica business development head Filip Vandenven and Silverhorn co-founder and partner Mike Imam.
Antarctica CEO, Pieter De Weerdt, was quoted as saying by The Asset that the company has ambitious expansion plans.
"Mike and Filip will build our regional presence by targeting Asian investors who are keen to allocate resources to hedge funds. This partnership will greatly enhance client value by providing investors with unique insights into Asian markets and access to select groups of investment vehicles," added Weerdt.
The new company is keen to recruit local analysts to form a global research team and will focus on Asian hedge fund industry.
