The Asset Management Exchange (AMX), an institutional asset management marketplace established by Willis Towers Watson, has hired Larry Morrissey as the chief compliance officer of AMX Ireland.

Morrissey most recently worked at MPMF Fund Management (Ireland). In his firm, he was the senior vice president for three years and managed funds distribution in the EU.

He served as the main contact point on regulatory issues at MPMF and held multiple compliance roles on behalf of large institutional clients.

He also had a nine-year stint as the head of investment fund listings at Maples and Calder.

In the new role, he will operate out of Cork, Ireland.

Commenting on the appointment, AMX head of legal, compliance and risk Jonathan Greenwold said: “We are welcoming Larry to AMX Ireland with fifteen years of experience and a vast knowledge of the investment funds industry.

“With over twenty five people in our Cork offices, in areas such as technology, finance, risk and operational oversight, Larry, in this newly created role as chief compliance officer, will be an important addition to our growing team.”

AMX, launched in 2017, offers asset owners centralised access to managers as well as fund infrastructure.

AMX Ireland oversees more than $8bn in assets.
