French asset manager Amundi has named David Harte as the new CEO for its Ireland business.
Harte also serves as the deputy head of the operations, services and technology division at Amundi and has a seat on the firm’s executive committee.
He reports to head of the operations, services and technology division Guillaume Lesage and is based in Dublin.
Prior to joining Amundi, Harte served as the global COO for Ireland at Pioneer Investments.
He has been in the investments industry since 1989, and worked in various financial institutions in London.
He joined Pioneer in 2003 and before that served as the COO at Bear Stearns Bank in Dublin.
Amundi snapped up Pioneer from Italian banking group UniCredit for €3.5bn last year. The deal was first announced in December 2016.
Amundi offers retail, institutional and corporate clients solutions customised to their risk profiles. The firm oversees more than €1.46 trillion in assets across six investment hubs.
