French asset manager Amundi has appointed Diego Franzin and Alexandre Drabowicz as the new head and deputy head of its equity investment platform, respectively.
The appointments follow the recent departure of Romain Boscher, Amundi’s former equities head, to Fidelity International earlier this month.
Franzin joined Amundi last year following the firm’s purchase of Pioneer Investments and had been jointly heading the firm’s equities division with Boscher.
At Pioneer, he served as the head of equities for Europe and head of global quantitative research and management.
Drabowicz joined Amundi in 2008 as an investment specialist and later became head of development and investment specialists. His new role at Amundi will cover European equity, volatility, convertible bonds, Japanese equity, and global equity.
Drabowicz previously also had stints at Systeia Capital Management, an Amundi subsidiary, and Societe Generale’s futures brokerage unit.
