Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI) has appointed Edouard Jozan as the new head of AllianzGI Private Markets, effective 1 June 2025.

Jozan, who is currently serving as head of distribution Europe, will join the executive committee of AllianzGI.

His new role will involve overseeing the investment capabilities led by Marta Perez and Sebastian Schroff, as well as managing the operational aspects of the private markets division, which will be established as a distinct business area within AllianzGI.

He brings over 25 years of investment experience, having worked with various Allianz entities across Germany, France, the UK, and the US in multiple investment management and client-facing roles.

Besides, AllianzGI announced that Michael Krautzberger will take on the role of chief investment officer (CIO) for public markets and join the executive committee.

Currently serving as Global CIO for fixed income, Krautzberger will assume his new responsibilities for AllianzGI’s €475bn public markets platform on 1 June 2025.

This appointment is part of the succession plan for Deborah Zurkow, the global head of investments, who is set to retire later this year.

Jenny Zeng, who is currently CIO fixed income Asia Pacific, will transition to CIO fixed income on 1 January 2026. She will also take on the role of deputy head of the fixed income platform immediately.

In the equities division, Michael Heldmann will become CIO equity on 1 October 2025, succeeding Virginie Maisonneuve, who will leave AllianzGI at the end of December 2025.

Heldmann will also serve as deputy CIO equity alongside his current role as CIO systematic equity.

AllianzGI CEO Tobias Pross said: “Our Private Markets platform has grown significantly over the last decade, building a strong track record of delivering new and differentiated cash flows to our clients.

“That success has established the platform as a strategically important growth engine for our firm that now warrants dedicated representation at our Executive Committee.”
