ACA Compliance Group, a provider of governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) services based in New York, has bolstered its European footprint by setting up a new office in Birmingham.

The new office will include ACA’s Analysis and Review Centre (ARC).

The ARC enables compliance officers and compliance teams to transfer their executional regulatory responsibilities, thereby lowering their workload.

The firm claimed that the service offers “an efficient, scalable and cost-effective compliance resource” for British financial services providers.

ACA partner Philip Naughton said: “Heightened levels of global regulation combined with increasing scrutiny and cost pressures place CCOs and compliance teams under mounting pressure.

“Where firms do not want to bring in additional internal resources, they can turn to our Analysis and Review Centre and tap into a pool of highly skilled compliance professionals. This flexible resource can be scaled to meet the needs of clients, involves little to no ramp-up or training and reduces key person risk and hiring processes.”

Last year, ACA completed the acquisition of Cordium for an undisclosed sum.

ACA serves investment advisers, private fund managers, commodity trading advisers, broker-dealers, among others. In addition to its New York base, the business has operations in other cities in the US, as well as London, Hong Kong, and Malta.
