Dutch banking group ABN Amro has implemented Temenos WealthSuite to enhance its private and corporate banking operations.

According to the vendor, its platform will enable the lender to lower operational expenses for IT and attain an improved cost/ income ratio.

The solution is also said to support the delivery of the bank’s personalised offerings quicker to market.

Temenos CEO Max Chuard said: “The platform will support traditional and digitised interactions, process automation and standardisation of products, which means faster time to market and increased business agility.

“Our cloud-native, cloud-agnostic and advanced open API software enables ABN AMRO to drastically reduce transformation time and cost.”

The two parties have been working together for many years.

The bank already utilises the vendor’s Temenos T24 Core Banking platform, Temenos Payments and Temenos Continuous Deployment.

ABN Amro head of IT development core banking international Friso Westra said: “I am excited as this is a big step for ABN AMRO in harmonising our IT infrastructure and speeding up digitisation.

“We run our corporate and part of our private banking operations now from one single digital platform. We expect IT costs savings and efficiencies from the standardisation of processes and products.”

Currently, the bank went live with Temenos’ WealthSuite platform in its Belgium branch.

Plans are on for a broader rollout later.
