Abacus Group, a provider of hosted IT solutions and application hosting for alternative investment firms, has introduced a new service called AbacusGlobalSync to enable AbacusFLEX IT-as-a-Service clients to securely synchronise files and data within the Abacus Cloud across their offices.
The service is expected to enhance efficiency and collaboration among the geographically-separated centres ensuring security and audit controls over the data.
AbacusGlobalSync offers nearly real-time synchronisation of files between several data centres, the company claims.
The deployment of this solution is expected to reduce latency when the company is required to synchronise their data.
The service can be used by authorised employees within the secure Abacus Cloud to quickly access files from different offices and data centers.
The service is expected to reduce the risk of versioning issues and enhance latency by up to 45%, the company added.
Furthermore, the solution is equipped with a built-in file locking control to avoid data loss as well as features the option of file server auditing.
Abacus Group CEO Chris Grandi said: “As the alternative investment universe has expanded globally, firms need a new way to reduce latency with data access and synchronisation, ensure accurate document versioning and securely run data audits – in as near real-time as possible.
“AbacusGlobalSync is another example of our commitment to working with our clients to recognise and help remedy their critical infrastructure issues.”
