Poland’s banking and payments industry registered a 4.7% rise in IT hiring activity in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 4.28% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.
Out of the banking and payments industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 22.01% share in August 2021, recording a decrease of 0.62% over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.19% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Poland’s banking and payments industry in August 2021.

Top five banking and payments companies in Poland’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 9.22% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Poland’s banking and payments industry during August 2021 over July 2021.
Banco Santander posted 397 IT jobs in August 2021 and registered a drop of 10.38% over the previous month, followed by Citigroup with 127 jobs and a 370.37% growth. ING Group with 78 IT jobs and UBS Group with 62 jobs, recorded a 21.88% flat growth and a 21.52% decrease, respectively, while Credit Suisse Group recorded an increase of 23.68% with 47 job postings during August 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 79.7%, up by 6.08% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 9.88% share, registered an increase of 22.37% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 9.67% share, down 6.19% over July 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.74%, recording a month-on-month increase of 600%.
