British accountancy firm MHA MacIntyre Hudson has acquired KP Audit, a specialist provider of audit services to the investment management sector.
KP Audit has operations in London and the Cayman Islands, where it employs a total of 20 staff. The deal offers MHA its first overseas location, and increases its network to 15 offices.
KP Audit’s audit clients have about 150 investment funds in several offshore and onshore jurisdictions in the UK, including the Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands and Delaware. The firm also comprises 60 UK investment manager, broker and adviser and arranger clients, who mainly operate in London.
KP Audit’s London team will relocate to the MHA Hudson City office, while MHA will retain the KP Audit’s Cayman Islands location.
As part of the deal, KP Audit’s Deb Weston and David Walker will join as partners in MHA.
MHA MacIntyre Hudson chairman Rakesh Shaunak said: “This acquisition provides an immediate and material entry into a part of the investment market that is key to delivering the firm’s strategic plan.”
