Poland banking and payments industry registered an 8.7% decline in IT hiring activity in May 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring decreased by 4.66% in May 2021 compared with April 2021.
Out of the banking and payments industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 22.56% share in May 2021, recording decrease of 0.37% over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.14% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Poland banking and payments industry in May 2021.

Top five banking and payments companies in Poland IT recruitment activity in May 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 30.06% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Poland banking and payments industry during May 2021 over April 2021.
Banco Santander posted 230 IT jobs in May 2021 and registered a drop of 45.11% over the previous month, followed by UBS Group with 81 jobs and a 15.71% growth. ING Group with 69 IT jobs and Credit Suisse Group with 36 jobs, recorded a 9.21% drop and a 56.52% increase, respectively, while SIX Group recorded a 40.91% decline with 26 job postings during May 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 73.79%, down by 35.44% from April 2021. Entry Level positions with a 17.07% share, a decline of 7.48% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 9.14% share, down 5.36% over April 2021.
