June 2021 has seen an increase of 10.35% in the overall hiring activity when compared with May 2021.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in June 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 62.88% in June 2021, a 33.48% growth over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 15.32% in June 2021, marking a 35.04% month-on-month an increase. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 10.3% in June 2021, a 40.65% growth from May 2021.

Top five banking and payments companies in North America’s IT recruitment activity in June 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 143.16% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s banking and payments industry during June 2021 over previous month.
Nelnet posted 1,409 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a an increase of 1337.76% over the previous month, followed by JPMorgan Chase with 1,028 jobs and a 72.48% growth. Citizens Financial Group with 924 IT jobs and Affiliated Managers Group with 601 jobs, recorded a 240.96% growth and a 24.43% increase, respectively, while Citigroup recorded a 21.98% an increase with 444 job postings during June 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s banking and payments industry
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s banking and payments industry IT hiring activity with an 82.93% share in June 2021, a 34.15% rise over May 2021. Canada featured next with a 13% share, up 14.57% over the previous month. Mexico recorded a 4.06% share, a growth of 70.09% compared with May 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 57.74%, up by 16.3% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 30.34% share, a growth of 52.66% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 9.65% share, up 120.03% over May 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 2.28%, recording a month-on-month growth of 37.22%.
