There were 24,391 jobs posted in the period 31 January 2021 to 6 February 2021 according to the GlobalData jobs analytics tool. This represents a 31.5% increase from the previous weeks total of 18,537, bucking the downward trend seen across the majority of January.
Unrelenting, JP Morgan registered the greatest number of new jobs with 1507 postings – 464 greater than the previous week. Will Human Resources at JP Morgan ever take holiday again? Only time will tell. JP Morgan were followed by Banco Nacional de Mexico SA, Wells Fargo and KBC Group NV with 1075, 829 and 550 postings, respectively.
Fresh on the scene, KBC Group NV posted 4 senior positions, 86 mid-level roles, 280 junior and 180 entry-level positions.
In November 2020, Belgium’s KBC Group announced the completion of its acquisition of 99.44% of the shares in Hungarian OTP Banka Slovensko, which was initially revealed in February 2020. As a result of the transaction, KBC Bank NV is now the new parent company of OTP Banka Slovensko.

Overall, the highest number of jobs posted were in North America with 12,710. Europe was second with 5397, followed by Asia Pacific with 5154, Middle East and Africa with 648 and South & Central America with 482.
Globally, most jobs were junior level with 10,474 postings. This was followed by 6671 mid-level jobs, 5983 at entry level and 1399 senior positions.
