There were 24,395 jobs posted in the period 14 February 2021 to 20 February 2021 according to the GlobalData jobs analytics tool. This represents a 31.7% decrease from the previous weeks total of 35,725.
Citi Group registered the greatest number of jobs posted this week with 1587 positions, closely followed by JP Morgan with 1536 and Banamex with 1223. Tailing off significantly, BNP Paribas was in fourth place with 955 jobs posted.
Of Citi Group’s postings, the majority were for mid-level roles at 624 postings, followed by 562 junior roles, 228 at senior level and 173 at entry level.
Most of Citi’s role were based in North America with 719 jobs posted. Asia Pacific was second with 652 postings, followed by Europe with 251, South & Central America with 34 and Africa & Middle East with 21.
This week, Citi announced the launch of its digital wealth offering Citi Plus in Hong Kong, after a pilot launch last December. The new offering aims to serve digital natives via mobile banking, offering them tailored wealth management data and knowledge kits to accumulate their wealth.
In September 2020, Citi unveiled plans to launch its largest wealth advisory hub in Singapore to serve its Citigold and Citigold Private Client customers. The move is part of the bank’s plan to achieve a double-digit growth in wealth market share.

Making its first appearance this year in the top four, BNP Paribas SA and BNP Paribas Personal Finance recorded a combined figure of almost 1000 jobs posted.
On 17 February 2021, the asset management division of BNP Paribas SA appointed its current head of Global Client Group (GCG) Sandro Pierri as its Deputy CEO. Pierri will continue to lead GCG, a position he has held since 2017 when he joined the company.
Overall, the highest number of jobs posted were in North America with 11,933 postings. Asia-Pacific was second with 6147, followed by Europe with 5224, Middle East and Africa with 591 and South & Central America with 500.
Globally, most jobs were junior level with 10,669 postings. This was followed by 7204 mid-level jobs, 5063 at entry level and 1459 senior positions.
