Spain-based company Banco Santander’s IT hiring declined 4.3% in July 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 2.88% in July 2021 when compared with June 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 12.19% share in the company’s total hiring activity in July 2021, and recorded a 2.8% down over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Banco Santander IT hiring in July 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Banco Santander, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 47.87% in July 2021, and an 11.93% drop over June 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 25.28% in July 2021, and registered a 2.73% increase. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 12.08% in July 2021, a 20.59% drop from June 2021.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 7.16%, registering a 6.67% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with a 5.59% share and a 21.88% drop over June 2021.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 4.03% and a month-on-month an flat growth. Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.34%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.
Italy commanded a leading presence in the region’s banking and payments industry IT hiring activity with a 29.75% share in July 2021, a 41.49% growth over June 2021. Poland featured next with a 22.82% share, down 53% over the previous month. Spain recorded a 13.65% share, decline of 22.78% compared with June 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Banco Santander IT hiring activity in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 78.97%, up by 1.73% from June 2021. Entry Level positions with a 14.09% share, a decline of 16% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 6.94% share, down 53.03% over June 2021.
