Maples Fiduciary, a division of MaplesFS and a provider of specialised fiduciary and corporate administration services, has opened an office in Hong Kong in a bid to expand its presence globally.
The office will initially focus on Hong Kong company incorporations and corporate services.
In addition, the Hong Kong office will also deliver the standard services offered by Maples Fiduciary’s offices globally, including directorships, trusts, board support, private client and accounting services.
Maples Fiduciary said that the opening of Hong Kong office will provide further on-the-ground resources for clients in the region.
Moreover, Charlie Sparrow, who was formerly a lawyer with Maples and Calder in London and Hong Kong, has been relocated to Maples Fiduciary as regional head of fiduciary Hong Kong to lead the growth of the new office and its services.
Maples Fiduciary global head of fiduciary Hugh Thompson said: "With the use of Hong Kong companies in the types of structures that typically rely on the Maples group for various services, the launch of our Hong Kong office is a natural extension of our offering across multiple jurisdictions.
