Belgium-based company KBC Group’s IT hiring increased 13.9% in July 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 7.1% in July 2021 when compared with June 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 26.59% share in the company’s total hiring activity in July 2021, and recorded a 2.01% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops KBC Group IT hiring in July 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by KBC Group, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 51.79% in July 2021, and an 8.69% growth over June 2021, while Computer and Information Analysts claimed a share of 17.11% in July 2021, and registered a 34.78% increase. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 15.36% in July 2021, a 0.6% rise from June 2021.

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global banking and payments IT hiring activity in July 2021 with a 95.58% share, which marked a 12.93% growth over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 2.21%, registering a 4.35% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with a 1.38% share and a 37.5% drop over June 2021.
In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 0.83% and a month-on-month flat growth.
Czech Republic commanded a leading presence in the region’s banking and payments industry IT hiring activity with a 52.62% share in July 2021, a 1.24% growth over June 2021. Belgium featured next with a 25.21% share, up 39.09% over the previous month. Bulgaria recorded a 17.48% share, an increase of 34.75% compared with June 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead KBC Group IT hiring activity in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.46%, up by 5.65% from June 2021. Entry Level positions with an 18.77% share, a growth of 68.6% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 3.77% share, down 16.33% over June 2021.
