Mathieu assumes the new role immediately, replacing Jean-Christophe Gerard.

Other people moves

Barclays made several changes to its private bank management team this year.

In July this year, Barclays Private Bank appointed Effie Datson as the global head of family office and Melanie Aimer as the global head of client experience.

This June, Barclays named Olivier Franceshelli as the head of private banking in Monaco.

At the same time, it appointed Alan Werlau as the head of investments for Barclays Bank Ireland.
