In the new role, Chai will be responsible for the Greater China markets including mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. He will also be tasked with managing the Asia strategic client segment.

Tellier will be responsible for Southeast Asia, India, and international markets.

As co-CEOs, the duo will report to BNP Paribas Wealth Management co-CEO Vincent Lecomte and BNP Paribas Group Asia Pacific CEO Eric Raynaud.

Chai previously led wealth management for Greater China at BNP Paribas, while Tellier served as the wealth management head for Singapore and Southeast Asia. Tellier will be replaced in this role by David Lim.

Appointed as the co-head of the Southeast Asia market earlier this year, Lim will report to Tellier in the new role.

At the same time, Mignonne Cheng will continue to chair the Asia wealth management business.

In May this year, BNP Paribas Asset Management appointed Rob Gambi as the global head of investments.
