AMP Capital has promoted its multi-asset portfolio management head Debbie Alliston to the role of CIO of its multi-asset group.
Alliston will assume the new responsibility with immediate effect and report to global head of public markets Simon Warner.
In the new role, Alliston will manage the portfolio management, dynamic markets, market solutions and tailored investment solutions teams.
At the same time, she will retain management of the Future Directions and AMP Lifecycle funds.
Alliston succeeds Sean Henaghan, who is on a 15-month sabbatical.
Alliston previously worked at Apostle Asset Management.

The multi-asset group manages AMP Capital’s multi-asset, diversified as well as multi-manager strategies.
The group includes 27 professionals and had over A$62bn ($43.5bn) in multi-asset funds under management at the end of December 2018.
