Northern Trust has appointed Madeleine Senior as head of Australia and New Zealand, effective 1 September 2015.
Senior will be succeeding Rohan Singh, who will join the firm’s Singapore office as head of Singapore and South East Asia, also on 1 September 2015.
In his new role, Senior will be responsible for overseeing Northern Trust’s business in Australia and New Zealand, providing asset servicing and asset management solutions to institutional and fund manager clients in these countries.
Senior will be reporting to William Mak, head of Asia-Pacific for Northern Trust.
Senior, who joined Northern Trust in 1995, was most recently head of business development for Northern Trust’s asset servicing business in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and also worked as managing director of the Nordic region, based in Stockholm.
Northern Trust head of Asia-Pacific William Mak said: "Northern Trust’s business in the Asia-Pacific region has expanded dramatically over the past five years, with assets under custody growing at an annual rate of 13 percent. The Melbourne office in particular has been a key driver of this growth."
