Franklin Templeton Investments has named Caroline Baron as the head of ETF sales for its EMEA business, a newly created role.

Baron will manage the firm’s global ETF rollout across Europe and will report to managing director for EMEA and India Vivek Kudva.

She will also oversee the launch of the Franklin LibertyShares range in Frankfurt and London, with responsibility for generating and retaining assets within the range.

Baron most recently served as the head of UK distribution at Invesco PowerShares. She previously also worked as the director of wealth at BlackRock iShares.

Franklin Templeton Investments head of global ETFs Patrick O’Connor said: “Caroline’s appointment as head of ETF sales in the EMEA region further demonstrates our commitment to building our ETF offering across Europe. Our Franklin Libertyshares platform aims to help investors achieve specific investment outcomes such as strong risk-adjusted returns, lower volatility and downside protection.
