American investment management firm State Street has appointed Michelle Grundmann as the new head of global services for continental and southern Europe.

Grundmann will take up the new responsibility in February 2018, reporting to State Street Bank International CEO and speaker of the board Stefan Gmur and co-head of global services for EMEA Liz Nolan. She will be based in Frankfurt.

Grundmann most recently served as the head of investor services for Germany, Austria and Switzerland at JPMorgan. Her financial career of around three decades also includes stints at Bank of New York Mellon, Chase Manhattan Bank, Merrill Lynch Investment Management and Bankers Trust Company of New York.

“Michelle’s extensive experience and dedicated focus are ideal to help build on the great momentum we have achieved in Europe to date, and significantly contribute to our long-term and successful client partnerships,” Nolan said.
