Stonehage Fleming, a London-based multi-family office, has purchased Swiss art management and advisory firm OmniArte for an undisclosed amount.
Set up in 2005 by Maria de Peverelli, OmniArte caters to individuals, family offices, foundations and trusts and estates across Europe.
The art advisory business will now be integrated into the Stonehage Fleming Art Management Division, which was launched in 2007 and currently manages several billion pounds worth of art collections.
Maria de Peverelli has been appointed to the newly created role of executive chairman at the art management division, and will continue to work between London, Italy and Switzerland.
She will work alongside head of art management Georgina Hepburne Scott, who set up Stonehage Fleming’s art management division in 2007.
“Our comprehensive service includes governance and legal oversight, cataloguing and insurance, coordination of purchases, sales and exhibition loans as well as succession planning. Maria’s curatorial experience in continental Europe will further bolster our existing offering and we look forward to working with Maria,” Hepburne Scott stated.
