Swiss private bank EFG International has appointed Franco Polloni as head of Central Switzerland, Ticino and Italy region and a member of the executive committee.
He will replace Renato Santi, who will leave the firm after the integration of BSI’s Swiss business into EFG, expected to take place in the course of April 2017.
Polloni has management experience in private banking and asset management and extensive knowledge of the Swiss financial sector.
Before joining EFG International, Polloni worked at Lugano-based Banca del Ceresio, where he was head of private clients and asset management, and a member of the executive board since 2014.
Previously, he also held senior positions at BSI between 2008 and 2014 and at Banca del Gottardo from 2001 to 2008.
EFG said that until Polloni’s joining, current CEO of BSI Thomas Mueller will manage the Central Switzerland, Ticino & Italy region ad interim.
