Private bank Coutts has unveiled an online investment service that will offer access to a suite of five passive funds with different risk levels.

The Personal Portfolio fund range includes conservative fund largely invested in bonds, to the most adventurous fund invested almost entirely in equities. The funds will be managed by the bank’s same 60-member team that also oversees its Tailored Portfolio Service.

Investors can access the new platform, known as Coutts Invest, with initial investment of £500 and regular contributions of £50.

Coutts Invest will have a maximum total charge of 0.95% annually, with fees decreasing with the rise in the value of investments.

Coutts managing director and head of financial advice and investment solutions Mohammad Syed said: “Coutts Invest is simple, low-cost, quick to use and gives our clients control of their investments through online banking while on the move.

“It’s ideally suited to those clients who want access to a simplified version of the Coutts house view, without paying for investment advice.”
