Standard Chartered Bank has named Vicky Lin as new managing director and head of private banking for Taiwan.
Lin will be based in Hong Kong and report to Desmond Liu, managing director, head of private banking, for Greater China and North Asia.

In her new role, Lin will be responsible for managing the offshore Taiwanese market as part of the broader Greater China and North Asia region.
Lin joined Standard Chartered from Morgan Stanley Asia, where she worked as executive director for private wealth management for Taiwan and Greater China.
Commenting on the appointment, Liu said: "Greater China is a market of keen interest characterised by its robust wealth creation and strong entrepreneurial profile. Within the region, Taiwan is amongst the top 25 HNWI population which saw 12 per cent growth between 2013-2014, and is one of Asia’s leading wealth generators.
"Vicky’s deep knowledge of the Taiwanese market will be of significant value to our Greater China and North Asia business momentum."
