U.S. Bancorp’s (USB) wealth management division has hired Benton Reichenau as new head of product services.

In his new role, Reichenau will be responsible to oversee the research and development of banking, wealth planning, investment management and trust products across U.S. Bancorp’s wealth management division, according to American Banker.

Reichenau has joined U.S. Bancorp from Ernst & Young’s San Francisco office. At Ernst & Young, he was he was responsible to lead the West Coast financial services office performance improvement consulting practice.

Earlier to this, Reichenau headed the investment management and trust products and services unit of Wells Fargo’s (WFC) wealth management division and also worked with Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor.

U.S. Bancorp manages US$361 billion in asset under management.
