Wealth management firm WRISE Group has opened a new office and academy in Shenzhen, China, to empower next-generation wealth leaders.

The company is targeting the Greater Bay Area (GBA) via strategic location in Shenzhen and talent selection.

This initiative will allow WRISE to enhance the capabilities of its independent wealth consultants (IWCs) and clientele throughout Asia.

The WRISE Academy, which is a pivotal part of WRISE Prestige, serves as an institution for the development of wealth management professionals,

It offers programmes for independent wealth consultants and family office practitioners, as well as specialised courses for the next generation of affluent clients.

The academy’s curriculum is designed to address the evolving complexities of wealth management.

As part of its GBA strategy, WRISE Group is also recruiting talent through the Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates (IANG) in Hong Kong to become IWCs.

The WRISE Academy supports these individuals with workshops in finance, economics, and management, providing pathways to international opportunities across global financial centres.

WRISE Prestige Hong Kong chairman Stephen Yan said: “The establishment of WRISE Academy marks a crucial step in our mission to elevate the standards of professionalism within the wealth management industry.

“By bringing together a faculty of globally renowned financial experts, we are dedicated to equipping our trainees with cutting-edge knowledge and skills, while also nurturing them as future leaders in wealth management.”

WRISE Group assists ultra-high and high-net-worth individuals. Its team of client advisors and investment specialists offer customised solutions, backed by a proprietary all-in-one wealth management tool.

This tool grants clients complete control and transparency over their wealth, enabling them to establish their own family office with real-time access to expert advice and solutions within an ecosystem of global financial institutions.

Last month, WRISE Group named Chen Jingwei as the new regional chief investment officer. He will oversee investment activities for WRISE Prestige Hong Kong’s mass affluent segment and continue as chief investment strategist at WRISE Private Singapore.
