Apex Fintech Solutions has announced plans to launch Apex Alts, a new platform aimed at expanding access to alternative investments.
Apex Alts is designed to enable clients of broker dealers, advisory firms, and wealth management companies to invest in a variety of alternative asset classes, including private credit, private equity, and non-traded REITs, directly through their existing brokerage accounts.
By integrating alternative investments into existing brokerage infrastructure, Apex Alts aims to simplify the investing process, making it more accessible beyond institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs).
Scheduled for release this year, Apex Alts leverages the Apex Ascend infrastructure to consolidate core services such as trading, custody, reconciliation, and investor documentation.
This approach is claimed to simplify access to alternative investments, making it comparable to trading equities or ETFs.
The platform will also offer customisation options for asset classes and distribution capabilities, to enhance the investor experience with real-time account onboarding and asset allocation.
Investors and advisors will benefit from increased asset diversity, gaining exposure to a wide range of asset types.
The platform’s seamless integration and flexibility are facilitated by customisable APIs and user-friendly interfaces.
Apex Fintech Solutions CEO Bill Capuzzi said: “With Apex Alts, we’re democratising access and empowering every interested and qualified investor with a streamlined, intuitive product.
“By offering a robust solution for clearing, custody, fund discovery, trading, reporting, and administration, we’re fundamentally transforming the alternative investment experience for clients. And with our Apex Alts Marketplace, we’re significantly expanding investor choices, too.”
Apex Alts will also introduce a scalable market connectivity feature, providing options for direct trading and robust marketplace functionality.
The “bring your own fund” feature allows clients to share their alternative investment funds within the Apex Alts Marketplace, exposing them to a broad audience, including retail and institutional investors.
For alternative fund issuers, the marketplace offers an opportunity to reach millions of retail investors on the Apex Ascend platform, with Apex providing the necessary tools and resources for seamless integration.
Apex Alts will be fully functional via the Apex Ascend platform.
As the platform evolves, Apex plans to introduce additional features such as enhanced marketplace tools and expanded market access, all aimed at providing superior support for clients and their investors.
In December, Apex expanded its alliance with wealth management technology provider Advyzon to streamline investment management for advisors.
