Swiss private bank Lombard Odier has named Omar Shokur as the new regional head for Asia, Private Clients.

He will also take on the role of CEO for the Singapore subsidiary.

Shokur will assume the new responsibility on 1 March 2025, steering Lombard Odier’s growth strategy in Asia.

He will join the bank’s private clients executive committee.

Operating out of Singapore, Shokur will report to Lombard Odier managing partner and private clients division co-head Frédéric Rochat.

Rochat said: “Reinforcing our senior management and platform is essential to maintaining our competitive edge and capturing growth opportunities in Asia, particularly across our key markets in North Asia and Southeast Asia.”

Shokur has more than 20 years of experience in wealth management and investment banking.

He has expertise with external asset managers, ultra-high net worth clients, and family office services.

Shokur’s career began at Crédit Agricole Group, where he held various senior positions, and has spent the last five years as Indosuez Wealth Management Asia CEO.

Lombard Odier Asia group regional head Vincent Magnenat will maintain his current position.

His focus will be on leading Lombard Odier Investment Managers (LOIM) in Asia as well as manage the Global Strategic Alliances.

In September 2024, Lombard Odier named Chris Bonello as head of the UK and Northern Europe Desk in Zurich.

Bonello reports to Duncan MacIntyre, limited partner, and head of the UK Region at Lombard Odier Private Bank.
