Swedish wealth management company Söderberg & Partners has invested in four independent financial adviser (IFA) businesses, deepening its foothold in the UK.

The acquired businesses are Nottingham-based George Square, Cheltenham IFA, London-based boutique Bluezone Capital, and Alexander Bates Campbell (ABC), based in the south-east of England.

Söderberg & Partners CEO Gustaf Rentzhog said: “The UK advice market is a top strategic priority for us and we have identified numerous attractive businesses here in our search for new investment opportunities.”

George Square manages £400m ($520.5m) in client assets and employs a team of 20, including ten advisers. The company has advisers in London, Sheffield, and Newark.

George Square managing director George Goward said: “With the UK market facing increasing challenges, the partnership is designed to strengthen George Square’s capabilities. Söderberg & Partners will support us in streamlining operations, enhancing efficiencies, and through providing back-office support, enabling the firm to continue its upward growth trajectory at an accelerated pace.”

Cheltenham, England’s Cheltenham IFA manages £290m in client funds.

Catering to customers across the UK and Europe, ABC manages £140m in private client assets and offers a range of services, including employee benefits and HR solutions.

The latest expansion follows Söderberg & Partners’ capital injection from minority owners KKR and TA Associates.
