Pratik Mehta has been named managing director of William Blair’s technology investment banking division.
Based in San Francisco, Mehta will offer enterprise software clients, mostly in the cybersecurity space, advanced corporate finance and M&A advising services.
Meanwhile, Spencer Taube will work alongside Mehta as vice president in Los Angeles.
Mehta has over 12 years of expertise in investment banking for software and cybersecurity. Prior to joining, he was a managing director in the technology department at Bank of America, where he oversaw corporate finance solutions, mergers and acquisitions, and investments in enterprise software platforms, cybersecurity, and related infrastructure software subsectors.
He was once a director at Barclay’s software investment banking division. Moreover, Mehta earned his M.E. and B.S. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in addition to his M.B.A. from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
Additionally, Taube possesses over 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, combining viewpoints from roles in investment banking advising, major corporate security operational practice, and government legislation. He has a law degree from American University and a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University, and he formerly worked for Bank of America.
