Robbie McColl has joined Investec Bank as a senior originator, growing the company’s energy & infrastructure finance division.
Along with creating and fostering stronger client relationships in the UK and Europe, McColl will be in charge of originating finance transactions in the infrastructure and energy industries.

Before joining Investec, McColl was a senior investment director in the infrastructure and structured finance team at Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management (“EDRAM”), where he was in charge of the creation, structuring, execution, and management of private credit portfolios. He will report to Anupam Sharma, head of energy & infrastructure finance – UK & Europe.
Investec’s global energy and infrastructure finance unit has been operating for more than 20 years, serving clients in a variety of sectors with specialised loans and guidance throughout the UK & Europe, South Africa, and North America.
Moreover, Investec recently established the effective closing of approximately £100m ($127m) in financing for Greenvolt’s acquisition of Kent Renewables Energy Limited, as well as a €60m refinancing facility for Service Terminal Rotterdam (STR), a maritime fuel storage terminal located in the Port of Rotterdam and jointly owned by Amber Infrastructure Group and Access Capital Partners.
