The programme’s goal is to equip IMG Academy student-athletes with relevant financial knowledge that will benefit them throughout their athletic careers and in life.

Having long-standing relationships with clients in the sports sector and realising the growing demand for financial guidance, Merrill strengthened its presence in the sector three years ago when it founded a specialised Sports & Entertainment business.
As a result, these advisers utilise their knowledge and collaborate with their sports customers to overcome the particular difficulties that the sports sector poses.
Merrill advisers will deliver tailored personal financial education to IMG Academy student-athletes and families through a curriculum that includes Bank of America‘s free financial education resource, Better Money Habits, and covers such themes as:
- Basic of savings and spending;
- Introduction to credit, and
- General Investing information from Merrill.
