The Alpha Capital Family Office (ACFO) has named Will Coughlin as a senior investment strategist and partner and Alexandra Romeo Boyles, J.D. as senior wealth strategist and partner.
The headquarters of Alpha Capital Family Office are in Denver, Colorado, where both professionals are situated.
Following the recent hiring of industry veteran Tom Riley, Alpha Capital Family Office’s rapid development continues with the appointments of Boyles and Coughlin.
Riley joined the firm in April after leaving Northern Trust, and he currently operates as head of portfolio management.
Coughlin and Boyles leave Citi Private Bank to become part of Alpha Capital Family Office.
Together, they oversaw more than $3bn in assets at Citi for ultra-high-net-worth (“UHNW”) clients that included non-profits, endowments, foundations, single family offices, and entrepreneurs.

She was a vice president and UHNW Private Banker at JP Morgan before.
Moreover, Boyles graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy from Tulane University and a Juris Doctor from SMU Dedman School of Law. Her prior licenses for FINRA Series 7, 63, and 66 are still in effect. She is presently a member of Denver CASA’s Board of Directors and Finance Committee.
Denver CASA is a non-profit organisation that provides legal assistance for children involved in cases of abuse, neglect, and dependency. She is also an integral part of the advisory council at the University of Colorado Denver Business School’s Jake Jabs Center for Entrepreneurship.
In addition, Coughlin provides the team with over 10 years of investment management experience. He was Senior Vice President of Investments at Citi in Denver prior to joining Alpha Capital Family Office, where he was in charge of many of the company’s institutional customer connections.
Before moving to the private wealth management division of Goldman Sachs as an adviser, he began his career as a financial analyst in the alternative investments & manager selection group.
Doug Campbell, founding partner at Alpha Capital Family Office stated: “Alex and Will join a team of specialists with over 250 years of collective experience. We believe that concentrating this depth of experience on a small group of clients delivers exceptional outcomes, which is our approach as an outsourced family office. This is what enables us to attract top talent from the industry’s largest banks and leading wealth management firms. Unlike these institutions, where advisers are often forced to manage too many clients to provide the personalised attention required, our approach ensures each client receives the dedicated service they deserve.”
Jeff Shipley, co-founder partner, and consultant with Lumina Consulting added: “There has been a tremendous amount of change going on in the Private Banking world. Given what is going on I am not at all surprised to see two high caliber professionals like Will and Alex now join a team that empowers them with the freedom and flexibility to deliver more comprehensive solutions to clients.”
