Leigh-Ann Russell has been named global head of engineering and chief information officer by the multinational financial services corporation Bank of New York Mellon Corporation.
Russell will begin working for the company on 15 September and will report to Robin Vince, the president and chief executive officer. She will also be a part of the executive committee of the company.

Prior to joining BNY, Russell was executive vice president of innovation and engineering at BP, where she was in charge of operations related to digital, IT, and cybersecurity, as well as engineering, safety, and science.
Having graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Aberdeen, she is a fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering.
