The first Luxembourg-domiciled “SICAV” fund will be made available to qualified private wealth investors outside of the US by Coller Capital, an independent investor focused solely on private market secondaries, with regulatory permission.
The fund will be endowed with more than $400m in money from investors worldwide.
Moreover, the move comes after Coller expanded its Private Wealth Secondaries Solutions (PWSS) business with a new location in Zurich overseen by Boris Maeder, head of international private wealth distribution.
Coller International Secondaries Private Equity Fund (CollerEquity) aims to provide a mix of pure and risk-adjusted returns, diversification, and the potential for greater liquidity than traditional private equity funds.
The fund is accessible to professional and qualified investors in some jurisdictions, with monthly subscriptions, quarterly redemptions, and a lower minimum commitment than a normal private equity fund investment.
Through this flexible fund, private investors will have access to Coller’s worldwide platform and 34 years of experience in secondaries investing.

By GlobalDataColler introduced a tender offer fund in April that is exclusively intended for accredited American high-net-worth investors, while several more global options will soon be introduced.
Jake Elmhirst, partner, head of private wealth secondaries solutions, said: “The launch of CollerEquity is a major milestone for the secondary private markets industry. With seed capital in excess of $400m we are launching one of the first truly of-scale open-ended secondaries fund, which is testament to our long history of innovation and providing investors with unique solutions to their needs.
Boris Maeder, managing director, head of international private wealth distribution, Coller Capital, added: “We believe that private wealth investors are looking to enhance their asset allocations with private markets exposure and private equity secondaries provide a preferred risk/return profile to achieve that goal. Secondaries are also well-suited for open-ended fund structures, given their diversification and higher liquidity nature. Coller has a long track-record in secondaries and our team’s experience in wealth management allows us to structure products with the particular requirements of private wealth investors in mind.”
Coller Capital manages over $32bn with over 30 years of experience, and with offices in New York, Hong Kong, Beijing, Seoul, and Luxembourg, professional investors are growing.
